My parents are actually fluent in English & give me a lot of freedom, it’s just funny how people are so heavy about the stereotypes against Asian parents.

My mom is Asian, and she has these unreal notions about how the world works. For instance, you must study 6 hours each day. Spring break? It’s called Spring SAT prep. All honors classes is not only expected, but also ALL A+; one B in honors English is unacceptable. My mom thinks “every” student does extra homework, does extra studying in their spare time. My parents agreed to read one book that will help them understand how the world really is. Can someone who has experience recommend such a book?
